Clarion’s corporate recovery and finance groups have been further boosted with the appointment of Ben Slack.

Ben was previously a partner at Addleshaw Goddard where he worked for eight years. During this time, he developed a strong client base in the Asset Based Lending (ABL) marketplace as well as having strong links within the banking community for both solvent and insolvent assignments.

In his new role, Ben (pictured centre) will work within both Clarion’s corporate recovery and its corporate/banking teams.

Ryan Millmore, who leads the firm’s corporate recovery team, said: ‘Ben’s arrival will add greatly to our already strong offering in the ABL arena and will, we are sure, strengthen our position as a standout player in that space. He will work closely with our specialist banking and finance team as well as handling restructuring and insolvency work.

‘Over the last few years, Clarion has developed a reputation as one of the leading providers of legal services to the ABL sector in the North of England, based on our strong track record acting for banks, asset based lenders and invoice discounting organisations. Ben is a welcome addition to the team, further strengthening our offering in this niche area.’

Ben adds: ‘Clarion has established itself as one of the foremost law firms in the region and beyond, with a particular expertise in serving the ABL sector. I am looking forward to being part of such a dynamic, successful and experienced team.’
