Financial remedy relief expert Zoe Porter has joined Everys Solicitors as a partner.

Zoe will add an extra element to the firm by heading up a new team that will make full use of her expertise in complex and difficult cases involving divorce, pensions and business, and the financial rights and Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act cases of unmarried co-habiting couples, including same-sex couples.

She said: ‘From a very early stage, I worked with one of the UK’s best divorce lawyers and I was exposed to lots of types of businesses and that is what I find so interesting. It has gone from there and I guess the more you do something, the more work of the same kind you tend to see.

‘I benefit from a lot of referrals from clients but also from independent financial advisors and accountants.’

Zoe will join Everys’ already established team of collaborative lawyers and Resolution members. She is also an accredited specialist with Resolution, both in relation to money and cohabitation, and a panel member for the Law Society.

After qualifying in 2001 and working for Stephens Scown and Foot Anstey, she joined Michelmores’ family team in 2007. She was promoted to partner in 2009, making her the youngest partner in the firm at that time.

James Griffin, Everys’ managing partner, said: ‘We are thrilled to have been able to attract the exceptional talent and expertise of a lawyer like Zoe to our firm. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of all our clients and actively seek out legal practitioners with the skills and knowledge they require.

‘Zoe has considerable experience in dealing with big money cases that require meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work with numerous parties and the empathy to get the best result for clients that are often vulnerable and distressed. She is a welcome asset to our team.’
