International law firm, Hill Dickinson, has announced the launch of a new sport, media and entertainment team, based in its London City office.

The newly-established team will complement the firm’s existing national offering, bringing together some of the most experienced and talented advisors in the fast-paced and dynamic worlds of sport, media and entertainment.

The London team, led by partner Louise Millington-Roberts (pictured), will deliver a blend of specialist, multi-disciplined legal expertise with particular focus on commercial and contractual issues ranging from sponsorship and licensing to event management and brand protection.

Headed by industry-renowned partner and regulatory specialist Richard Green, the national sport, media and entertainment team has a broad and established portfolio of clients, including global events and brands, rights holders, sporting bodies, clubs, sponsors, agents and individual athletes and artists.

The team also includes partners Sue Russell, corporate expert, and leading commercial litigator Geraldine Ryan, both of whom are members of the Hill Dickinson board.

Richard said: ‘Today we’re excited to announce the launch of our sport, media and entertainment team in London. We bring together a wealth of specialist experience, which, supported by our 200-year history, over 175 partners and global reach, means we have the right people in place to bring our heritage of exceptional client service to these markets.

‘In doing so, we want to enable our clients in this space to focus on what really matters to them; what they do best.’

Louise Millington-Roberts added: ‘I’m delighted to have joined Hill Dickinson’s highly regarded sport, media and entertainment team, and look forward to leading the London team’s contribution to delivering excellence in legal insight and service.

‘At a time when diversity is high on the agenda for the sports industry, I am proud to be part of the firm that is leading the way in the legal industry for diversity in the workplace.’
