Pictons Solicitors LLP, a leading regional law firm with offices in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, has announced that Sumaiya Smyth has been made a partner of the firm.

Mrs Smyth has been a rising star for some time at Pictons, a firm she joined soon after she qualified as a solicitor in 2008. She became an associate in June 2011.

Sumaiya, a wills, trusts and probate specialist solicitor, said: ‘Since the first day I started at Pictons I have loved working for the company. I am able to do a job I am passionate about in a supportive and progressive company.

‘Wills, trusts and probate is one of our busiest departments and I am based at one of our Hertfordshire offices in Hemel Hempstead. As of a few weeks ago I have also now taken over as head of WTP.

‘I was delighted to be given this position and I feel so proud to have been made a partner so early in my legal career.’

Sukh Saini, managing partner, said: ‘We always recognise talent and we knew as soon as Sumaiya joined our firm that she would go far. Her commitment to her clients and the firm is second to none and we know that under her guidance our WTP department will continue to expand and generate even more opportunities for Pictons.’
