Leading London law firm, Payne Hicks Beach, has announced six internal promotions across its family, corporate, dispute resolution and property departments. The promotions consist of one to the partnership and five new associates. 

Ben Parry-Smith has been made up to partner within the firm’s family department. Having joined the firm on qualification in 2008, Ben has extensive expertise in advising on all aspects of family law from high-profile complex financial disputes and nuptial agreements through to civil partnerships. He has particular expertise in matters concerning the relocation of children and cases involving same-sex parents. Leading legal directory, Legal 500 UK 2017 has recognised Ben as ‘one to watch’.

The family department has been further bolstered by the promotions of Victoria Hingston and Camellia Buckmaster to associates. Victoria Hingston has been at Payne Hicks Beach for nearly 10 years and is regularly instructed on complex disputes with a financial and international element. Victoria’s practice also encompasses private law children matters ranging from residence and contact disputes to leave to remove applications. Camellia joined the firm in 2016 from Slaughter and May and her practice encompasses a wide array of family law matters from co-habitation agreements through to divorce.

In the dispute resolution department, Andrew Willan has been made an associate having been with the firm since 2011. Andrew advises both private and corporate clients at all stages of the litigation process. His expertise encompasses a breath of contentious matters, with particular a focus on high-profile defamation, privacy and breach of confidence disputes.

Within the property department, Andrea Yiakoumetti has now been made an associate. Andrea is instructed on matters concerning the sale and purchase of commercial and residential properties – acting for companies and individuals based in the UK and overseas.

In the corporate department, Marcia Kidd has been promoted to Associate having arrived at the firm in 2013 from CMS. Marcia advises private owner-managed businesses as well as large international organisations on a range of corporate matters from shareholder disputes and demergers to reorganisations and reductions of capital.
