Law firm Shakespeare Martineau has made a number of senior promotions. Across the firm’s offices, five new legal directors have been welcomed among the ranks.

In the West Midlands, Verity Keen, from the Birmingham office, and Helen Bowns, from Stratford have been promoted to legal director, both working within the private client team.

Verity advises clients on matters including estate planning, trusts, powers of attorney and court of protection issues, with a particular focus on individuals and entrepreneurs. Helen is an experienced family lawyer, advising on issues involving businesses, farms and trusts, as well as on complex children issues.

In Nottingham, Marrons Planning, a specialist planning consultancy and part Shakespeare Martineau, has recently promoted Andrew Gore to planning director and Jenny Keen to principal planner.

Andrew and Jenny work on behalf of major house builders, developers and promotors, providing detailed planning advice and working on complex strategic residential developments, as well as a number of large-scale commercial/distribution schemes, student accommodation, care homes and convenience stores.

Alex Davidson has been promoted to legal director in the firm’s London office. He forms part of the firm’s corporate team and advises on a broad range of corporate transactions including the establishment of investment funds, public and private fund raising, venture capital and private equity investments and mergers and acquisitions.
