A correspondent who would probably prefer to remain anonymous recently sent us what she described as 'two contrasting images of a Cornish solicitor'.
First was from the Web site of Cornish firm Hancock Caffin - a small profile of consultant David Muirhead, accompanied by a rather unhelpful silhouette where a photograph should have been.
Second was this slightly more revealing picture of Mr Muirhead from the Duchy Fish Quote Company calendar, with the alarming caption 'Come and get your crabs'.
The company, of which he is a director, is a not-for-profit organisation set up to buy fish quotas, which it then leases to Cornish fisherman as a way to support the industry.
The calendar is aimed at raising both profile and money.
All well and good, but there can be such a thing as too much profile.
We can assure readers that there is no over-exposure here, and that the picture is entirely in the best discreet traditions of Calendar Girls.
Mr Muirhead tells Obiter that he agreed to take part in the calendar as a way to encourage others.
'Some people would say it's quite flattering,' he suggested.
Mr Muirhead says the calendar has attracted an 'outstanding reaction', raising 15,000.
