ageless equality ; ; ;City firm Lovells and human rights group Liberty are acting together for equal rights pressure group Parity in its twin legal efforts to bring into line the age limits for free bus passes women currently receive one when they are 60, compared with 65 for men.
Last week, Liberty began proceedings at the European Court of Human Rights under the European Convention on Human Rights, while Lovells began action in the UK courts under EU law.
Parity is targeting the position in London under the Greater London Authority Act 1999, hoping that a victory would change the approach across the UK.
