All aboard the midnight express

If you are looking at international expansion, there are ways of doing it without alerting your competitors.

Take Clyde & Co partner Steve Blunt (left), who came fourth in the recent Midnight Sun to Red Sea rally (or Sweden to Jordan).

The 5,000-mile, 20-day trip took him and co-driver Robert Duck through ten countries that are surely crying out for the legal expertise Clyde & Co has to offer.

Fewer than half of the 50 professional and amateur competitors

finished, and Mr Blunt and Mr Duck were the first all-British crew to finish.

His clever cover was raising as much as 10,000 for the

Surrey Community Development Trust.

And for those wondering about the next stage of Clyde & Co's international plans, Mr Blunt is thinking about entering the big one - the London to Sydney rally - in 2004.
