Calling it a day

Perhaps it's a case of the duller the subject seems, the more effort goes into making it seem exciting, but national firm Pinsents is trying its hardest to get us interested in pensions.

The firm has sent us a badge bearing the phrase 'I want to retire' and provided a variety of amusing stickers to fix below it, ranging from 'at 50' through 'never' to 'yesterday'.

The firm has also reprinted a Just William story from 1936 entitled 'Pensions for boys', in which William learns to his shock that the government gives ten shillings a week to old people just because they're old.
