Charity clash

Obiter's boxing barrister is in the ring again this week, we are pleased to report.

Alex Mehta, legal director of legal services company Judicium and the current 'white collar' light-middleweight champion of the world, will this week take on 'gritty New York attorney' Ian Niles (pictured).

A hard-puncher hailing from Brooklyn, he successfully co-defended the rapper P Diddy (nee Puff Daddy), on trial last year after a shooting incident in a Manhattan nightclub.

The fight is one of many this week at a black tie charity event at the Park Lane Hilton in aid of orphans of the 11 September attacks.

The fights will be under the auspices of the International White Collar Boxing Association.
