In [2007] Gazette, 29 November, 16, we included 2006/07 statistics from the Law Society's statistical research unit that were incorrectly presented. The figures said that 34.2% of all partners in all firms are from black or minority ethnic (BME) backgrounds and 45% of all partners are identified as white European. In fact, those figures relate to the percentage of all BME solicitors who are at partner or equivalent level and all white European solicitors at partner or equivalent level.
