Cobbetts signs up to 400,000 Norwel computer deal
Manchester firm Cobbetts has signed up to a 400,000 deal to use Norwel Computer Services' Norwel Practice Management system (NPM) for all of its 250 staff.
NPM, which runs with MS Windows NT, replaces the firm's existing LineTime Accounts system.
It will link front and back-office applications, including Norwel Fee Earner Desktop, Case Management, EIS and Marketing Client & Contact Database.
The new system is billed as being able to combine all elements of the firm's business, making information quickly accessible to fee-earners direct from their desks and speeding up matter management.
Another feature of the system, computer-aided billing, should improve the speed and efficiency of the firm's accounts department.
Neil Davies, Cobbetts' IT and project manager, said: 'The Norwel system should provide us with the long-term, stable platform necessary to achieve our aims.'
