Zoe Theofilopoulos's letter raises a very important point (see [2007] Gazette, 5 July, 13). If the Law Society is to represent the profession to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (and other regulators), then it needs to hear the views of the profession.


To this end, we have set up two new email addresses for solicitors to send us their comments: code@lawsociety.org.uk for comments on the new Code of Conduct, and regulatoryaffairs@lawsociety.org.uk for all other comments on regulatory matters.
