I am grateful to the Gazette for its excellent coverage of the new Solicitors Code of Conduct, including an article from President Fiona Woolf, in which she invited solicitors to contact the Law Society with their observations about it.
Practitioners who want to give their views on the code to the Solicitors Regulation Authority are of course perfectly entitled to do so via the Law Society.
However, we are always keen to hear directly from solicitors: they may e-mail us at Codeofconduct@sra.org.uk or write to Professional Ethics Department, Solicitors Regulation Authority, Ipsley Court, Berrington Close, Redditch B98 0TD.
Edward Solomons, chairman, rules & ethics committee, Solicitors Regulation Authority
