Why are addresses and telephone numbers so frequently omitted from email communications (despite the plethora of disclaimers etc attached)? Why in the most elaborate websites is ‘contact us’ the hardest or last thing to find?

Why is there a tendency on the part, usually of the most prestigious firms, to omit all reference to solicitors (long before the advent of ABSs)? Most parties who proclaim themselves to be lawyers to the public are licensed conveyancers, some of whom describe themselves as ‘chartered’.

Whereas why cannot we solicitors either append to our names Members of Law Society (MLS) or Solicitor of Supreme Court (SSC) as in Scotland, or be Doctors as our European counterparts and the dental profession?
