In the article 'LCS to approach thousands of miners over fees' (see [2007] Gazette, 3 May, 1), we paraphrased Deborah Evans, chief executive of the Legal Complaints Service, as implying that the LCS is not the complaints-handling arm of the Law Society. The LCS is the complaints-handling arm of the Law Society. It is overseen by an independent board established by the Law Society Council and has functional autonomy, but carries out its delegated responsibilities on behalf of the Law Society.

Adam Youatt, Scott Farnsworth and Ed Wright have been promoted to partner at Nottingham firm Berryman, not Nelsons as stated in [2007] Gazette, 3 May, 34. Berryman now has 18 partners.
