Am I a lone voice in the wilderness or just a grumpy old git in bemoaning the apparent decline in standards of common courtesy and professional behaviour of some members of the profession to others at a time when our new Code of Conduct is writ large?

I cite the following:

l Direct communication with a party by solicitors where that party is represented;

l Acceptance of instructions where there is patently potential for conflicting interests; and

l Attendance at meetings by solicitors with third parties whose solicitors are not present.
