Cheapest deal: Norton Rose acted for budget airline easyJet on its 374 million purchase of Go.
Ashurst Morris Crisp co-ordinated the sale, acting on behalf of all the selling shareholders; Macfarlanes advised 3i Group and the other institutional shareholders.
Most communal deal: SJ Berwin acted for Bridges Community Ventures, a new private equity management company majority owned by Apax Partners and 3i, on the establishment of the UK's first community development venture funds.
The venture capital funds are aiming to raise 40 million, with 20 million from the private sector and matching funds from the government.
The funds will act as a vehicle for venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and business people to invest in some of England's most disadvantaged areas.
Clifford Chance acted for the Department of Trade and Industry.
Most southerly deal: Speechly Bircham acted for Royal London Mutual Insurance Society and Dechert for Arial Trade in their respective involvement in the Southpoint Limited Partnership, which has been created for the 155 million redevelopment of Southpoint (formerly Orbit House).
It will be a landmark building adjacent to London's Southwark Underground station just south of the River Thames.
Herbert Smith advised on rights of light issues.
Linklaters is acting for HBOS, which is providing construction finance.
Most innovative deal: Bird & Bird acted for Imperial College Innovations in a unique partnership with Fleming Family & Partners and Gordon House Asset Management that will give the university a multi-million cash sum for its expansion in return for a 30% stake in a portfolio of 36 Imperial College spin-out companies.
It is the first deal of its kind for a university.
SJ Berwin acted for both investors.
Most aquatic deal: Kent firm Cripps Harries Hall acted for Paignton Zoo on the 7.5 million development of its 'Living Coasts' aquatic and animal visitor attraction as part of the regeneration of Torquay Harbour.
Michelmores in Exeter acted for Torquay Borough Council.
