Most combative deal: London firm Green Vine Beverley Palos acted for British and Commonwealth heavyweight boxing champion Danny Williams in his three-year deal with US promoter Don King, advised in-house.

His first fight should be on the undercard of the Holyfield/ Ruiz world heavyweight title match in China, the first professional fight to take place in China.

Partner Stephen Beverley said: 'This deal will hopefully provide Danny with an opportunity of fighting for a version of the world title within six months.'Best planned deal: Rowe & Maw acted for the vendor shareholders on the 8 million sale of Town Planning Consultancy to RPS Group, which is Europe's largest environmental consultancy and is trying to assemble the UK's largest fully integrated planning consultancy.

DLA acted for RPS.Most landmark deal: SJ Berwin acted for Redevco on the letting of the former Marble Arch C&A store to department store Allders, advised by Macfarlanes.

It is the last in the series of transactions where Allders has taken over previous C&A stores.

The space will be used for a flagship shop and headquarters.Most electronic deal: Field Fisher Waterhouse acted for the London Borough of Lewisham on the outsourcing of all the council's desktop services to ICL, advised in-house.Most luxurious deal: Finers Stephens Innocent acted for MWB on the development of a 140 million 32-storey tower in Docklands and on a management agreement with Marriott Hotels to develop a 4.5 star hotel.

The London office of US firm Bryan Cave acted for Marriott, while Taylor Joynson Garrett acted for BHF Bank, which provided financing.Most judicious deal: Birmingham firm Wragge & Co advised Derbyshire County Council and Derby City Council on the 31 million private finance initiative with Babcock & Brown Properties, represented by Freshfields, to build and operate new and refurbished magistrates' courts in Derby, Chesterfield and New Mills.

Denton Wilde Sapte acted for funder Abbey National.Most learned deal: Surrey firm Stevens & Bolton acted for Equinox Converged Solutions on its agreement to supply and maintain a broadband system infrastructure for the London Grid for Learning Project, a consortium of all 33 London local education authorities, advised by DLA.Most youthful deal: Pinsent Curtis Biddle acted for the Department for Education and Skills on the award of a contract to establish a helpline pilot project called 'Connexions Direct', offering support and guidance to young people.

Not-for-profit group UFI, advised by London firm Henry Hepworth, won the tender.
