Most organic deal: US firm Reed Smith advised Whole Foods Markets on the $38 million (20 million) acquisition of Fresh & Wild, which runs natural and organic food stores in London and Bristol and was advised by national firm Laytons.
Hottest deal: National firm Pinsents advised Baxi Group, the European heating company, on its 663 million buyout by BC Partners.
Scottish firm Dickson Minto advised BC Partners, which bought out the interests of existing investors Candover, advised by Ashurst, and fire protection company Kidde, represented by Slaughter and May.
Windiest deal: City firm Linklaters advised energy company RWE Innogy on the 400 million financing of its UK wind farm portfolio.
The transaction sees RWE Innogy, Englefield Capital and First Islamic Investment Bank take a one-third share in the holder of the portfolio Beaufort Wind.
Other RWE Innogy advisers included national firm Bond Pearce (due diligence) and Wright Johnston & McKenzie (Scottish counsel).
City firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advised First Islamic, while national firm Hammonds acted for Englefield Capital.
