Cleanest deal: The Bristol office of regional firm Laytons advised pharmaceutical company Greenbridge Environmental Control on an investment by the Lacomp EIS Fund that values the company at 5.5 million.

The deal will enable Greenbridge to fund product development for a new anti-bacterial cleaner to be brought to market.

Lacomp was advised by City firm Field Fisher Waterhouse.

Sandiest deal: Yorkshire firm Gordons advised the shareholders of Woodhall Spa Sand & Gravel on the 10 million sale of the company to Aggregate Industries.

Regional firm Browne Jacobson and City firm DLA advised Aggregate Industries on corporate finance and real estate matters respectively.

Most constitutional deal: London firm Fladgate Fielder acted for a Swiss trust on the 58 million acquisition of the leasehold of Priory Court in Birmingham from the Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA).

Priory Court houses the city's main civil courtrooms.

Exeter firm Michelmores advised the DCA.

National firm Addleshaw Goddard acted for the funder, Britannia Building Society.

Sportiest deal: London firm Clintons acted for KYN Publishing on a 1.25 million fundraising to launch Golf Punk magazine, which has been styled as the golf magazine 'for the rest of us'.

The funding was provided by an investment syndicate led by Genesis Investments.

London firm Davenport Lyons advised Genesis, while Northampton and Milton Keynes-based EMW Law represented another investor, Hotbed.

Most hi-tech deal: The London office of US firm Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom is advising technology company Staffware on its 123 million acquisition by TIBCO Software.
