Best travelled deal: US firm LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae advised pan-European on-line travel service Opodo on a €62 million (£41 million) investment by Madrid-based travel technology company Amadeus. National firm Pinsents advised Opodo on competition matters. City firm Linklaters acted for Amadeus, with Spanish firm Garrigues and the German arm of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advising on competition.


Most amorous deal: London firm Finers Stephens Innocent (FSI) advised YooMedia on its acquisition of Jiles, owner of the Avenues, Clicked and Simply Love dating brands, and a £7 million placing of shares. The majority shareholders of Jiles were advised by London firm Streathers. FSI also advised YooMedia on the acquisition of gaming channel Fancy a Flutter from NDS and Rank Group, both advised by their in-house teams, for an undisclosed sum. London firm Marriott Harrison acted for Durlacher, the nominated adviser and broker.


Best designed deal: The London office of Pinsents advised media services business Loewy Group on the acquisition of design consultancy Parker Baines for an undisclosed sum. Parker Baines was advised by the London office of US/UK firm Faegre Benson Hobson Audley.


Healthiest deal: The London and New York offices of Salans acted for the Plant Health Care group, a supplier of organic and natural products for plant and soils, on its admission to the Alternative Investment Market. The group was valued at £16 million following a £7 million placing. US/UK firm Reed Smith advised Evolution Beeson Gregory, the nominated adviser and broker.
