Most designer deal: The Nottingham office of Flint Bishop & Barnett advised the shareholders of Crispin Systems, which provides design software to leading sports' footwear brands, on its sale to Delcam for an undisclosed sum. The Birmingham office of Wragge & Co acted for the buyer.



Most relaxing deal: City firm Berwin Leighton Paisner and London firm Finers Stephens Innocent advised X-Leisure on the corporate and property aspects respectively of the £86 million sale of its leisure park at Star City in Birmingham. London firm Olswang advised the buyer, REIT Asset Management.



Most energetic deal: London firm Wallace advised TomCo Energy, a shell company previously known as Netcentric Systems, on a reverse takeover of Utah-based The Oil Mining Company, its re-admission to AIM and a £1.3 million placing. London firm Fladgate Fielder advised Strand Partners as nominated adviser and broker.



Lightest deal: North-east firm Tilly Bailey & Irvine advised lighting business the Zumtobel Group on its multi-million euro buyout of Jardine Matheson Europe's 30% share in their Far East joint venture, Thorn Lighting Asian Holdings.



Most exemplary deal: City firm Taylor Wessing acted for Exemplar Properties on a joint venture with Morgan Stanley Real Estate through which Exemplar will manage a portfolio with 17 development sites throughout the UK. The sites include the 280,000 sq ft scheme at Drapers Gardens in London. Berwin Leighton Paisner advised Morgan Stanley.



Most rewarding deal: National firm Addleshaw Goddard and London firm Simons Muirhead & Burton advised the sellers of the rights, business and operating companies of TV programme 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire?' for £106 million. UK/US firm DLA Piper acted for the purchaser, 2Way Traffic.



Most customised deal: Blackburn firm Haworth & Nuttall acted for Lodematic Components, a Lancashire-based manufacturer of customised hydraulic cylinders for the automotive industry, on the acquisition of a 50% interest in the business by George Blenkinship for an undisclosed sum. Fellow Blackburn firm Taylors acted for Mr Blenkinship.



Most chilled deal: Cheltenham firm BPE advised businesswoman Emma Roberts on her acquisition of the town's Chapel Spa - housed in an 1815 chapel - from Center Parcs for an undisclosed sum. National firm HBJ Gateley Wareing advised the seller.
