Most educational deal: National firm Bevan Brittan advised Bristol City Council and Partnerships for Schools on the first school to open as part of the government's Building Schools for the Future programme, the £24 million Bristol Brunel Academy. City firm Allen & Overy advised Skanska, the preferred bidder, while Bristol firm Veale Wasbrough acted for professional services support company Mouchel Parkman. UK/US firm DLA Piper acted for the Secretary of State for Education and Skills.
Tastiest deal: London firm Finers Stephens Innocent acted for Tragus Group on an agreement to operate their restaurant brands Café Rouge, Bella Italia and Strada at Center Parcs' holiday villages. Center Parks was advised by DLA Piper.
Most youthful deal: City giant Clifford Chance acted for Ludorum, the interactive media business, on a licensing agreement for the UK broadcast rights to the new animated children's series 'Chuggington'. Chuggington is a 3D computer-generated series involving the adventures of three trainee diesel engines.
Fizziest deal: The China office of Eversheds advised Coca Cola China Industries, a subsidiary of Coca Cola, on the sale of shares worth more than $100 million (£50 million) to COFCO Coca-Cola Beverages. The transaction involved stakeholders in jurisdictions such as Hong Kong, Samoa, the Cook Islands and mainland China. City firm Herbert Smith advised COFCO.
Most visual deal: The Reading office of Osborne Clarke advised video-conferencing infrastructure products developer Codian on its $270 million sale to US and Norway-based Tandberg. DLA Piper advised the buyer.
Healthiest deal: London firm Wallace acted for Fortune 500 company Henry Schein on its acquisition of W&J Dunlop, the supplier of animal health products and services to veterinary clinics, for an undisclosed sum. Scottish firm Burness acted for the sellers.
Most landed deal: City firm Sprecher Grier Halberstam acted for estate agency Lane Fox on its merger with Strutt & Parker, advised by national firm Addleshaw Goddard. National firm Pinsent Masons acted for funder Barclays Bank.
