JG Hanning's letter has nothing to do with law - it is simply an ill-informed tirade against the European Union (see [2003] Gazette, 30 October, 16).
Solicitors will no doubt have a range of views about the future role of Europe, and I would hope that we can contribute to a proper and informed debate about the issue.
However, J G Hanning's letter fails to do that.
