Demerging EveryForm plots to develop global service
Free on-line legal form provider EveryForm has announced major expansion plans backed by funding of 2 million to 3 million.
EveryForm, launched last October, provides free on-line versions of government forms for legal professionals, and it currently boasts 8,500 users, more than 27% of UK law firms (see everyform.net).
Managing director Russell Shepherd said: 'Raising first-round funding will allow us to build on what is proving to be an exciting and rapidly growing business.'
Expansion plans include a further extension to the forms list, recruitment of additional staff and upgrading technical features on the Web site.
There has been international interest, and the firm is considering expanding to Australia and mainland Europe.
Originally a subsidiary of software distributors Capsoft UK, EveryForm is in the process of being de-merged in order to give the company a clear identity and 'make it clear to potential investors what exactly they are investing in', Mr Shepherd said.
Edinburgh investment bankers Nobles have been appointed to help EveryForm raise funds.
Chief executive Ben Thomson said: 'The whole process of providing standard forms and information to professionals will change dramatically over the next few years.
EveryForm is at the forefront of this change.'
