Family law is organised by the South-West office of the Law Society and Bristol Law Society and will be held on 18 June at Bristol Law Society, Small Street, Bristol, from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Cost: 25 plus VAT.

All carry 1.5 CPD hours.

Maximising criminal costs runs from 9.30am to 5pm, carries 6 CPD hours and costs 150 to 250 plus VAT.

A new Mental Health Act - reform or retreat?; Mental incapacity - who is deciding?20-21 June: Two-day conferenceorganised by the Law Society and the Royal College of Psychiatrists, to be held at the Senate House, University of London, Malet Street, London WC1, from 9.30am to 5.30pm on both days.

Mental Health Act is on 20 June and mental incapacity on 21 June.
