Divorce-online offers legal help via women's Web site

On-line legal service Divorce-online.co.uk is supplying women's Web site handbag.com with legal documents for visitors to buy on-line information about legal issues and access to its database of solicitors.Handbag.com has launched a channel called 'Your Rights', which offers visitors to the site advice on issues such as discrimination in the workplace.

Along with the legal documents and database access, Divorce-online also provides the site with a 'legal aid calculator', which tells users if their income makes them eligible for legal aid help.Mark Keenan, operations director for Divorce-online, said recent surveys showed women made most of the financial decisions in a family, and also that they bought more services on-line than men.

'As a result, we wanted access to handbag.com's customers - 360,000 women a month - and likewise they needed someone to offer these essential legal services to their clients.'Meanwhile, on-line legal services provider, UKLegalworld.co.uk, the brainchild of financial services solicitor Gareth Fatchett, has also entered into partnership with Divorce-online.

Banner adverts for The Solicitors Helpline, a dedicated phoneline run by UKLegal World offering free legal advice and a solicitors' referral service, will appear on Divorce-Online's site.

Site founder Gareth Fatchett said: 'Divorce-Online has over three million user hits a month, and by partnering with them, the Solicitors Helpline gains access to these potential clients.'Victoria MacCallum
