ELIGIBILITY ALERT ; ; ;Government plans to reform and restrict eligibility for legal aid will tilt the playing field against the poorest people in society, according to the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

In response to the governments consultation on funding, APIL claimed that while the proposals may well work for disputes between families and neighbours, they will be disastrous for people making justified claims in clinical negligence cases especially home owners, who will lose funding.
