Eversheds expands on-line knowledge banks service
City firm Eversheds has expanded its service aimed at providing staff and clients with up-to-date information via its Web site to cover the employment and commercial property sectors.
The firm began developing its knowledge banks 18 months ago, after identifying a gap in the provision of in-depth Web information that would appeal sector-wide.
It began by joining up with the Financial Times and legal publisher Butterworths, focusing on providing business information, and has now signed up with the Estates Gazette and employment research specialist Income Data Services.
Registered clients and staff can access the five 'hot topics' affecting their field from the firm's Web site, as well as commentary and guidance from Eversheds and its external partners in the project.
It also sends out weekly e-mail alerts.
Eversheds has a 'dot-com advisory board' made up of its ten biggest clients which advises on the development of the knowledge banks.
Eversheds associate and e-business manager Nick Williams said the firm now intends to expand the service further.
'We are looking to provide information for our educational clients and also on e-commerce,' he explained.
'We want to move through the industry sectors so that we eventually have a whole suite of knowledge banks.'
