Eversheds shakes up national management team
National firm Eversheds has shaken up its management team in an overhaul - effective from July this year - that sees only two heads staying in situ: the chairman, Keith James, and the head of international, Victor Semmens.The firm's London managing partner, Peter Scott, who has held his position for seven-and-a-half years, is stepping down and will be replaced by Michael Brown, currently the deputy managing partner and head of the firm's property department in London.
Mr Scott will continue to work in the London office on long-term special projects.
Meanwhile, the firm has created a position of general managing partner, filled by David Ansbro, the managing partner for the Leeds and Manchester offices.
He is replaced by David Grey - the chairman of the firm's corporate practice group.The managing partner for the east of England, Colin Brown, takes over another new role as head of operations.
He is replaced by Ian Shann, currently the head of property in the region.Eversheds north east partner Geoff Harrison becomes head of client services, while Ian Jollie - whose term as deputy chairman ended in April - will stay as a part-time consultant until October, and Andrew Latchmore, managing partner of client services, will return to the Leeds office's property department.The former jobs of Mr Jollie and Mr Latchmore are to be absorbed into the new positions.Chairman Keith James said the appointments would strengthen the firm as it prepared 'to increase the pace of growth both in the UK and overseas'.
