South-west firm Stephens & Scown has joined up with its local tourist board to provide what it claims is a unique legal service for tourism businesses looking to buy or sell in the area.
Tourism Business Service - launched by the Devon and Cornwall firm together with South West Tourism - provides sellers with a two-tier legal service offering tips and advice on what to look out for when selling their business.
Purchasers are meanwhile offered a relocation and search service that helps them determine the best area for purchasing a business that meets their needs.
All legal work relating to sales and acquisitions generated by the service will be referred to Stephens & Scown.
Partner Guy Curry said: 'As a result [of the initiative], the outcome should be commercially successful, high-quality tourism businesses that stay in business for longer, and which become positive contributors to the regional economy - quoted at some £3 billion for the last year.'
