Firms become festive card sharpsAs usual, we received a welter of seasonal cards and notes telling us that firms are not sending us cards and instead donating to charity (although ane-mail from'P Stringfellow' at London firm Peters & Peters made us laugh - but it was not a joke; it is the firm's IT manager and he is a Peter).

There were still a few notable Christmas cards to be had, though.

From top: The First Division Association, which represents most Crown Prosecution Service lawyers, has a warning for all chimney climbers; an amusing effort from London firm Barnett Sampson (Rosemary Carter, former chairman of the Solicitors Family Law Association is back row, fifth from the right); Bevan Ashford finally finds a decent use for its odd new pixellated comet logo; a slightly baffling plum-related picture from Bristol firm Bevans; and the Serious Fraud Office recaptions a cartoon from the New Yorker.
