The Law Society launched its International Division at a packed event in Chancery Lane last week. Almost 500 solicitors, foreign lawyers and other guests enjoyed food and dancing from around the world, marking some of the areas of particular interest to the profession in England and Wales. They included a Bollywood set (pictured) - India is arguably the number one closed market to solicitors - and a tango performed ahead of a trade mission to Argentina and Chile. Chief executive Des Hudson said the division 'is something everyone, everywhere can benefit from - whether it be individuals or firms large or small'. See www.international.lawsociety.org.uk.
