Guidance on training contracts

The seminar 'The trainee solicitors guide to authorisation' provides a framework to help training principals and establishments authorised to take trainees.

It is designed to give further guidance on the training requirements.

Included in the seminar will be an overview of the roles involved in training, an understanding of the reasons behind the training requirements and workshops on appraisals and supervision.

Guest speakers from the Trainee Solicitors Group and from private practice will give the trainees' perspective on training and an insight into monitoring of training contracts from the training establishment's point of view.

The seminar is free of charge and is open to training principals, supervisors and trainees.

The number of delegates is limited to a maximum of 50.

It will be held at the Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London on 20 November 2002 at 10am-4.30pm and will carry five hours 15 minutes CPD (Ref: APF/MTMC).
