Gunning for football glory
In much the same way as they have in the Premiership, Manchester United have tended to dominate the football-related pictures that have graced these pages.
More often than not, that is thanks to United's solicitors, James Chapman & Co, which always manages to cop a photograph after doing a deal or transfer for the club, resulting in Becks, Rio, Veron and Sir Alex himself being among those to star in the Gazette.
But, again, much like in the Premiership, Arsenal are doing their best to challenge United's supremacy and this week we are indebted to City firm Trowers & Hamlins for this picture of boss Arsene Wenger and Swedish midfielder Freddie Ljunberg mugging with partner Linda Coopersmith.
She acts for Newlon Housing Trust, which was selected last year by Arsenal as the preferred partner for the affordable housing element of a major regeneration scheme in Islington connected with the club's proposed stadium move.
Still, with United set to splash out in the transfer market this summer - far more than Arsenal, at least - we have no doubt that James Chapman will soon be reasserting Mancunian superiority.
