High-street solicitors set for Net support

A south London solicitor has launched a Web site providing a forum for high-street solicitors to share their worries and 'realise that they are not alone'.Anthony Ogunfeibo set up the site with his wife Patricia, another solicitor who until recently worked at City firm Watson Farley Williams.HighStreetSolicitor.co.uk includes an on-line discussion room for the exchange of ideas and advice, and a virtual marketplace where solicitors can trade goods and services, and advertise for staff.Mr Ogunfeibo said the idea came to him because he frequently rang other high-street practices for support and advice, and knew other practitioners did the same. The Web site is an 'empowerment site', he said, which will help high-street solicitors overcome the difficulties of modern practice.Legal aid franchising demands that practitioners 'provide a Rolls Royce service on mini-cab fares', he said, adding that his Web site will 'help them realise they are not alone'.
