Horsey Lightly saddles up with Fynn & Partners
Newbury-based Horsey Lightly has added a major planning and licensing division to its profile by merging with south-coast firm Fynn & Partners.
The new 17-partner firm, which will trade as Horsey Lightly Fynn, will now have offices in London, Newbury, Oxford and Bournemouth, and re-unites senior partners John Horsey and Lionel Fynn.
The two lawyers worked together as partners in the Newbury office of City firm Penningtons in the 1980s.
Mr Horsey said: 'The Bourne-mouth office's specialist licensing and planning division will enable the enlarged practice to provide an end-to-end service on commercial and property matters.
The London office also gives Bournemouth clients a City presence.'
Mr Fynn, whose firm contributed three partners to the merged practice, said: 'We have watched Horsey Lightly grow since its creation and we are really delighted to be back on board together again.'
A Horsey Lightly Fynn spokeswoman said there were no staff losses as a result of the merger and it is expected that once the firm has 'settled down', solicitors will move freely between the four offices.
