Chris Campbell, managing partner of Scottish law firm Dundas & Wilson, is to join The Royal Bank of Scotland Group as director of legal services and deputy general counsel.

He replaces Mark Chidley, who left the bank in February and is joining the Leeds office of Addleshaw Goddard as a banking partner.


Matthew Jowett moves to shipbuilders VT Group as general counsel and company secretary from building materials company RMC Group, where he was group general counsel.


Claire Davies will join Legal & General as group secretary in August. She is a director in the regulatory practice at Ernst & Young.


Katherine O'Hara leaves Avon, where she was vice-president and associate general counsel, to join life sciences company Perkin Elmer LAS (UK) as senior vice-president and general counsel.


Caroline Griffin Pain has been appointed company secretary at COLT Telecom Group. She joins from telecoms company Radianz, where she had the same role.


Richard Manning has been appointed company secretary at GCap Media, the company formed by the merger of GWR Group and Capital Radio. He was previously company secretary at GWR.


James Brumwell joins development company Howard Holdings as head of European Developments. He was a property partner at Davies Arnold Cooper in London.


Richard Williams is promoted to head of legal at trust company Investec Trust, responsible for the internal legal function in Guernsey, Jersey, Geneva and Mauritius.
