l AXXIA UNVEILS 8% RISE IN TURNOVERLegal IT supplier Axxia has reported an 8% rise in turnover to 9.5 million, converting last year's 200,000 loss, which it said was caused by major investment, into a 500,000 profit before tax.
Gross profit rose 10%, in the seventh successive rise since the management buy-out from Digital in 1995.
Axxia said it has contracts with 100 of the top 500 firms, with 16,000 daily users of its desktop suite, and 10,000 users of its matter and case management systems.
l SOLUTION 6 IN BID FOR KEYSTONESolution 6 (Europe), advised by City firm Richards Butler, has made a 13.5 million recommended offer for fellow legal software company Keystone Solutions.
City firm Theodore Goddard advised Keystone, while Australian firm Freehills acted for Solution's Australian parent company.
l ELITE REVENUES SOARUS-based legal IT company Elite, which has also made big strides in the UK, last week reported revenues of $18.4 million (13 million) for the first quarter of 2002, a 29% rise on the same period last year.
Gross profit was $9.5 million, up from $6 million.
l GREATER ACCESS FOR AND TO INSURERSManchester firm James Chapman & Co, an insurance firm with a lucrative sports practice, has launched a brochure site featuring the partners at their favourite local places.
And professional indemnity insurer Zurich has launched its revamped site which allows solicitors to access personal information and apply for a quotation over the Internet.
Quotations can then be viewed in a secure environment.
