Initial public offering

It's the trend sweeping the legal profession - drop those boring old partner monikers in your firm name, replace them with swish initials and hey presto, you have a young and groovy practice.

While lawyers now have a broad discretion in naming their firms, initials seems to be as daring as most will go.

So this month has seen the launch of DLA (Dibb Lupton Alsop as was), TLT (the merged Bristol firms of Trumps and Lawrence Tucketts) and also DMH (Donne Mileham & Haddock), which marked the relaunch and its smart new office front (above) with, erm, some jazz music.

Either that, or Brighton buskers have found a new hot spot.
