Intellectual property working party - appointment of members
The Law Society's intellectual property working party keeps under review developments in intellectual property law and procedure, both nationally and internationally.
Its function is to represent the Society in monitoring and commenting on such developments from the perspective of intellectual property solicitors, and in doing so it consults closely with other groups representing IP lawyers, such as the Intellectual Property Lawyers Association.
The working party does not meet regularly but members may be asked to contribute by e-mail as and when issues arise.
Applications are invited from solicitors with practical experience in intellectual property law, who are able to contribute positive ideas and to commit time to the workload of the intellectual property working party.
The working party would be interested to hear from practitioners from firms based outside London.
Applications are welcome from all those with the enthusiasm, expertise and time necessary, irrespective of sex, race, colour, age, sexuality, religion or disability.
Appointments will be made following a selection process, which may include interviews of shortlisted candidates.
For an application pack, contact Jane McCormack, Law Reform Team, at the Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1PL; or DX 56 London/ Chancery Lane; tel: 020 7320 5636; fax: 020 7320 5673; or for more details e-mail: jane.mccormack@ lawsociety.org.uk
The closing date for applications is 10 February 2003.
