Kid's play

We always suspected that there wasn't much to the whole legal recruitment lark, and this picture from Charles Fellowes Resourcing in Birmingham seems to prove the point.

Its latest new consultant, Amelia Smith (pictured with the nappy and coloured ball), will be solely handling partner-level appointments.

If only.

Actually, the company is trumpeting the fact that it is practising what it preaches in relation to encouraging 'women returners', when it allowed mum Liz to bring Amelia to her job interview when her baby-sitting arrangements broke down.

She (Liz, that is) was offered to job on the spot, with managing director Anthony Tomkins (right) telling Obiter that Amelia was 'giving me rather knowing looks throughout' the interview.

Either that or she needed a clean nappy.
