The committee constituted in accordance with by-law 65 to determine the challenge to the result of the recent Law Society Council election in constituency no 23 (Birmingham and District) has upheld the result.

By-law 65(4) lays down that the challenge committee for a council election is the president, vice-president and the president of a local law society nominated by the president.

In this instance, Roy Morgan, president of the Cardiff and District Incorporated Law Society, was nominated to serve on the committee.

The decision of the committee is final, in accordance with by-law 65(5).
