The Law Society has launched a new online resource with details of hundreds of CPD courses from leading suppliers, and a free CPD planning and recording tool.

The new CPD Centre, which aims to be the portal of choice for all CPD requirements, takes solicitors through a step-by-step process of identifying their individual needs and setting development goals.

It highlights gaps in a solicitor’s knowledge, monitors progress and recommends appropriate training from a 61-page directory of courses.

Law Society president Robert Heslett said: ‘The online CPD portal is a result of extensive research and development, to provide a service which is both easy to use and extremely useful to our members. It will save solicitors time with their CPD planning by making it easy and straightforward.’

He added: ‘The website is available to all solicitors, and contains: a free CPD planning and recording tool; ready access to a searchable directory of hundreds of courses; and a number of new value-for-money online training courses from the Law Society. It will help busy lawyers make the most of their CPD hours.’
