Let the games begin

Addleshaw Booth & Co is starting to get its money's worth from its big Commonwealth Games fees-for-sponsorship deal .

Last week, the firm marked 100 days to go with a visit to its offices by Olympic gold medal cyclist Jason Queally (pictured with business development director Carolyn Roberson).

Mr Queally, poor chap, was given a briefing on the sports unit's work.

But if they were hoping to pick up a new client (perhaps on a fees-for-puncture-repair basis?), they will be disappointed.

Mr Queally, Obiter knows, is a client of James Chapman & Co, which can out-glamour most sports law practices by waving around tickets to client Manchester United and the chance of hob-nobbing with Sir Alex, Becks, Giggsy and, erm, Phil Neville.
