Proof that lawyers are no better than kids when it comes to birthday parties comes from Birmingham-based Blair Allison, which celebrated its 25th birthday last week with a pretty cake festooned with a blue ribbon.

Obiter hopes that senior partner Mari Meisel (left) (see printed edition - Gazette [2003] 16 October, 12) pictured with partners Judith Green and Grant Bird, also had time for some jelly, ice-cream and pass-the-parcel.
