REGISTERING PRAISE

I note IJ Howson's letter (see [2002] Gazette, 31 January, 18) and have to say that I find all the registries efficient these days.

I deal with a high volume of probate matters and find that the registration of assents and other straightforward transactions usually come back by return.Even first registrations only seem to take a couple of weeks compared to the months in the distant days of my articles.I find that the departments dealing with queries are helpful too - Croydon and Coventry have excelled here recently.

While we are on the subject - and as we are in an age where you hear more complaints than praise - I would like to recognise the efficient service I receive from the Birmingham District Probate Registry.
