Life is an ocean breeze at Keelys
Perhaps City firms looking to ensure their solicitors have the stamina to make it through a long night of drafting and redrafting and then redrafting some more should put their lawyers through the James Chisholm stamina regime.
Mr Chisholm, an associate partner at Lichfield firm Keelys, recently featured on these pages for taking part in a 26-mile hike through the Welsh mountains (see [2003] Gazette, 12 June, 14).
Well, no sooner had he hopped off the peaks than he was picking up his paddle with Andrew Lawrence of property consultants Chestertons to take part in the annual Round the Island race at the Cowes weekend on the Isle of Wight.
The pair proceeded to beat more than 50 other boats to win their class (M ISC handicap class, since you ask).
The course was a mere 60 miles long and took eight hours to complete, and overall, they came 43rd out of more than 1,000 competitors.
What some people will do just to earn a coveted Keelys T-shirt.
